Giannelli has worked in government for more than twenty-five years and is looking forward to serving people from her hometown. “My family still lives in Wayne County and my roots are in northeastern Pennsylvania,” she said. “I am honored to join a team that is dedicated to public service.”
Giannelli resides in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, with her husband John, and their three sons.
Senator Baker was sworn-in to serve her first term on January 2, 2007, and represents the 20th Senatorial District, which encompasses parts of Luzerne, Monroe and Susquehanna counties and all of Pike, Wayne and Wyoming counties.
She serves as chair of the Senate Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee. She is a member of the Communications and Technology, Community, Economic and Recreational Development, Education, and Public Health and Welfare committees, and the Community College and Sportsmen caucuses.
