Saw Creek Estates Community Association Voices Concerns Over Proposed Transmission Line

Senator Lisa Baker and other Pike County officials recently met with representatives of the Saw Creek Estates Community Association (SCECA) to discuss the Susquehanna-Roseland Transmission Line project, proposed by PPL Electric Utilities.

Baker organized the meeting to give residents an opportunity to voice their concerns. Pennsylvania’s Consumer Advocate, Sonny Popowsky, participated by phone and provided participants with information regarding the evaluation process conducted by the Pennsylvania Utilities Commission.

“The community is compiling a detailed list of questions regarding the health and environmental effects of the line, as well as the potential public benefits of the project,” Baker said. “It is important that people raise questions, voice their concerns and stay in engaged in the process.”

Baker also submitted a formal request (read the PDF here) to the Office of Consumer Advocate to assists residents in addressing concerns and provide continued information and guidance.
