SB 576 – (Dinniman) Enacts the Cancer Trial Access for Pennsylvania Patients (TAPP) Act.  The bill clarifies that the reimbursement of travel and ancillary expenses of cancer clinical trial patients and their companions do not constitute impermissible “inducements.”

SB 1087 – (Senator Schwank and Senator Baker) Creates the Interbranch Commission on the Child-Welfare System.  The Commission would be charged with reviewing and analyzing the child welfare system and making appropriate recommendations for improvement.

HB 1233 – (Murt) Seeks to establish a new standard for court ordered assisted outpatient treatment while leaving in place the current “clear and present danger” standard necessary for involuntary hospitalization.

HB 1869 – (Mackenzie) Establishes a Maternal Mortality Review Committee within the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
