Agenda

  • SB 645, P.N. 618 (Hughes)—Amends Title 53 (Municipalities) to allow
    certain vacant/abandoned lands that are being used as community gardens to
    be adversely possessed after 10 years.
  • SB 165, P.N. 156 (Tartaglione)—Amends the Controlled Substance, Drug,
    Device and Cosmetic Act to prohibit the operation of safe injection sites and
    provide for related penalties.
            o  Amendment A00301 (Baker)— Adds requirement of “knowingly”,
                gives the Attorney General’s Office concurrent statewide jurisdiction
                and clarifies the provision that space under the Medical Marijuana Act
                or that of any practitioner who prescribes, administers, or dispenses a
                controlled substance is not prohibited under this act.
  • SB 361, P.N. 287 (J. Ward)— Amends Title 42 (Judiciary) to add one Court
    of Common Pleas judge to judicial districts 15, 20, and 26.
            o  Amendment A00291 (Baker)— adds one judge for the 8th judicial
                district (Northumberland) and one judge for the 50th judicial district
                (Butler); provides that these new judgeships shall be filled via the 2025
                municipal election.
  • SB 598, P.N. 593 (Baker)— Amends Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) to
    extend the Pennsylvania Wiretap Act five years from the current expiration
    date of December 31, 2023.
    • Amendment A00322 (Langerholc)—updates expiration date to
      December 31, 2029.
