St. David’s Day in Pennsylvania

VIDEO: Senator Lisa Baker offers a resolution recognizing March 1 as St. David’s Day in Pennsylvania. St. David’s Day is a feast day commemorating the death of the patron saint of Wales in the year 589. We celebrate it because the cultural and economic influence of individuals of Welsh heritage has been present from early colonial days onward. Today, Pennsylvania has more persons of Welsh ancestry than any other state.
