Sen. Lisa Baker welcomed several students from Dallas High School to the Capitol today. Among the guests were members of the three-time national champion LifeSmarts Team, which recently captured the 24th annual competition held in San Diego. The students, team captain Matt Metzloff, Raymond Perez, Caleb Swetizer, Hannah Wolfe, and Vidhan Dhol, were on the Senate floor to be honored for the feat. The team is coached by teacher Mark West, who also accompanied the team to Harrisburg. In addition, four other Dallas students, comprised of a special leadership academy, made the trip south on I-81 to visit the Senate chamber and be recognized by Sen. Baker. They are: Lauren Alves, Alyssa Dragon, Jacob Dragon, Collin Gleco and their chaperone Mark Adams.
