SB 6 – Sen. Regan –  Establishes the Public Assistance Integrity Act (PAIA). The legislation amends the Human Services Code (Act 21 of 1967) by tightening benefit eligibility criteria, limiting the use of “access devices” (as defined in the bill), and increasing penalties for instances of willful fraud. – Summary

SB 655 – Sen. Yaw – Amends The Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act by requiring the Secretary of Health to promulgate regulations regarding opioid prescription guidelines. – Summary

Godshall – Enacts the “Right-to-Try Act” (the “Act”) which allows terminally ill patients to elect to use investigational drugs, biological products and medical devices which have yet to receive final approval by the Federal Food and Drug Administration (the “FDA”).  The Act also provides certain immunities to health care providers and manufacturers. – Summary
