Senator Baker, Chamber of Commerce to Host Joint Open House Nov. 8

Senator Lisa Baker (R-20) will join representatives of the Hawley-Wallenpaupack Chamber of Commerce in hosting an open house for area residents. The open house will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 8 at the Lake Wallenpaupack Visitors Center on Route 6 in Hawley, which will house both Senator Baker and the Chamber’s offices.

Baker urged area residents to stop by to meet her and her staff as well as chamber employees. Light refreshments will be served.

“I’m pleased to be opening an office in the eastern part of the Senatorial District, because almost half the people I represent live in this area of the district,” Baker said. “We will now be able to serve them in their community with a full time office — to ensure that state government is working for them and meeting their needs.”

To mark the Thanksgiving season, Baker is asking attendees to bring a canned good to be donated to food pantries in Monroe, Pike and Wayne counties.

“This open house is a great chance to meet and talk, and also to help those less fortunate,” Baker said. “I urge area residents to stop in and see our new office.”
