29, 2010 - The Senate Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee held
a public hearing to review emergency response plans related to natural gas
drilling in the Commonwealth.

June 28, 2010 - Senator Baker participated in a special ceremony at the
Capitol to honor the military service of retired Sergeant Robert Wayne
"Buddy" Costigan. The ceremony was attended by Costigan's family and
friends, fellow northeastern Pennsylvania veterans and other dignitaries.

June 24, 2010 – The Pennsylvania state park system was awarded
the top honor of the 2009 National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and
Recreation Management by the American Academy for Park and Recreation
Administration in partnership with the National Recreation and Park
Association. Promised Land State Park hosted an award celebration upon the
arrival of their Gold Medal.

June 22, 2010 - Senator Baker joins students from the American
Legion’s Boys State program on the Senate floor. The program, held at
Shippensburg University, is the longest-running and most respected civic
education program for high school students in the country.

16, 2010 - The Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee held a
briefing on public safety and environmental impacts following recent events
associated with Marcellus Shale natural gas development.

June 15, 2010 – Cassie and Kristen Kizis and their grandparents, Mr. & Mrs.
Thomas Wolfe, visited the Capitol as part of the SEIU Local 668 Lobby Day.

June 15, 2010 - Jeremy Stull, an intern in the district office of Senator
Baker, spent a day in Harrisburg learning more about state government. Jeremy is
currently a History major, minoring in Middle Eastern Studies, at Quinnipiac
University.

June 14, 2010 – Left to Right - Mr. William Schweighofer, President & CEO of
Honesdale National Bank; Mr. Robert Snyder, President & CEO of Luzerne Bank; and
Mr. Lewis Critelli, President & CEO of Wayne Bank were in Harrisburg as part of
Pennsylvania Bankers Lobby Day and had an opportunity to meet with Senator Baker
and have their photo taken on the Senate Floor.

June 13, 2010 – Boy Scout Troop 146, Jackson Township, Luzerne
County, celebrated Flag Day with a flag dedication ceremony at the Jackson
Township Recreation Pavilion. Senator Baker presented the Scouts with a
Pennsylvania flag.

Hancock, NY, completed the requirements to become an Eagle Scout, the highest
