May 31, 2010 - Senator Baker attended the Sweet Valley Fire Company's annual Memorial Weekend Fair and Parade and presented the volunteers with a Senate citation to mark the occasion of its 50th anniversary. May 31, 2010 - Members of Boy Scout Troop 281 served as the color guard for the Daddow Isaacs American Legion Post 672 Memorial Day Parade in Dallas. Following the parade, Senator Baker joined members of the troop for a photo.

May 30, 2010 - Senator Baker offered remarks at the Harvey's Lake American Legion Post 967 Memorial Day Ceremony. May 25, 2010 – Andrew Santora visited with Senator Baker in the Senate Chamber during his break while working as a guest page for Representative Karen Boback. Andrew is a sophomore at Dallas High School.

May 24, 2010 – Senator Baker presented Angela Heffer, a student at Monroe Career and Technical Institute with a congratulatory citation for her participation in the team that brought home the national title in the seventh annual American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute National Lodging Management Program Competition that was held in Florida.

May 24, 2010 – Four students from the Monroe Career and Technical Institute in Bartonsville took home the national title in the seventh annual American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute National Lodging Management Program Competition.  Senator Baker recognized the team on the Senate Floor to congratulate them on their national title. May 11, 2010 - Senator Baker participated in a Senate Majority Policy Committee Public Hearing on Marcellus Shale gas pipeline issues.  The hearing was held at the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport.

May 5, 2010 – Fourth graders from Roslund Elementary School, Tunkhannock, visited with Senator Baker and Representative Sandra Major during their tour of the Pennsylvania State Capitol.

May 4, 2010 - Donald DeReamus and Heather Sharar presented Senator Baker with the Legislator of the Year Award from the Ambulance Association of Pennsylvania for her efforts to update and enhance the Emergency Medical Services Act (Senate Bill 240).
