April 20, 2010 - Representatives of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Veterans Multi-Care Alliance, Wilkes-Barre, came to Harrisburg to testify at a public hearing of the Senate Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee. April 20, 2010 - Students from Good Shepherd Academy in Kingston toured the State Capitol Building in Harrisburg and visited with Senator Baker in the Senate Chamber.

April 20, 2010 - Students from Wilkes University, under the direction of Thomas Baldino, Ph.D., and King's College, under the direction of Joseph Rish, J.D., and student Alexandra D'Angola representing Elizabethtown College, visited with Senator Baker on the Senate Floor in conjunction with the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities 2010 Student Lobby Day.

April 14, 2010 - Sally and Daniel Grotta of Newfoundland were recognized by Sen. Baker on the Floor of the Senate. Sally Grotta's exhibit  entitled "Pennsylvania Hands" is displayed in the East Wing Rotunda which celebrates those individuals who keep alive the traditional crafts that built our state’s diverse culture. The exhibit is scheduled to travel around the state and eventually around the country. To learn more about this exhibit please visit www.AmHands.com.
