September 26, 2009 - Senator Baker joined hundreds of Luzerne
County residents at the Court House Centennial Gala. The Luzerne County
Courthouse is a magnificent structure built at the turn of the century
containing numerous paintings and architectural designs that enhance the beauty

September 26, 2009 - Senator Baker stopped by Coates Toners'

September 25, 2009 – Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Conroy and their three
children, Alexander, Rebecca and Benjamin of East Stroudsburg, came to
Harrisburg to meet Sen. Baker and to tour the capitol building.

September 16, 2009 - Ellie Ennis of Mount Pleasant came to
Harrisburg to present Sen. Baker with a letter she wrote about the budget
impasse. Her mother, Margaret Ennis and grandmother, Marge Hnatko accompanied
her on the trip.

September 13, 2009 - The Dallas and Lake-Lehman field hockey
teams sponsored the "Courage for Corey" Day 5K Race/Walk and raised nearly
$11,000 for Corey Ehret, a 15-year-old Dallas School District student diagnosed
with a rare form of cancer. Above, Senator Baker joins Corey for a photo during
the event.

September 11, 2009 - Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dickinson, Honesdale,
celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 20, 2009. They were
married on Oct. 20, 1949. The couple was recently presented with a Senate
Citation by Sen. Lisa Baker to commemorate their wedding anniversary.

September 11, 2009 - Senator Baker joined the Honesdale Hose Co.
1 to celebrate its 100th anniversary during the 79th
annual Northeastern Pennsylvania Volunteer Fireman’s Federation convention.
During the celebration Senator Baker presented a Senate citation to commemorate

wife Jean Potter, both victims of the World Trade Center terror attacks, told
their moving survival story at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mountain Laurel

September 11, 2009 - Sen. Lisa Baker presented Bob Morcom with a
certificate of recognition for being named EMS Outstanding Provider of the Year.
Honesdale EMS Executive Director, Sharon Gumpper, was also on hand for the
presentation.

September 10, 2009 – Students from the Elk Lake School District were honored
during the 10th anniversary celebration of the Susquehanna County Recycling
Center. The county's successful program was recognized by a citation from the
Pennsylvania Senate sponsored by Senators Baker and Yaw. Above, from left to

September 5, 2009 - Patrick William Kalish, Boy Scout Troop 281,
recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. For his community service project,
Patrick cleared overgrown brush and trees at Moon Lake Park to create a new
recreation space for picnics and hiking. Above, joining him at his Court of
