March 24, 2009 – The Senate Veterans Affairs and Emergency
Preparedness Committee holds a public hearing to consider nominations for major
general and brigadier general of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

March 18, 2009 – Marilyn Santarelli spends time with Senator

March 17, 2009 – Students from Northwest Area High School’s
Future Farmers of America (FFA) program visit Senator Baker at the Capitol. FFA
is an agricultural education program consisting of three components: classroom
instruction, supervised agricultural experience and life skills. Above, from

March 11, 2009 – The American Red Cross held a news conference
today in Harrisburg. Above, Senator Baker presents a Senate resolution to Tom
Foley, CEO of the Southeastern PA Chapter of the American Red Cross. Senator
Baker sponsored resolution 43 which designates March 2009 as "American Red Cross
Month" in Pennsylvania.

March 10, 2009 – In honor of Pennsylvania National Guardsmen and
Women Senator Baker offered a Senate resolution designating March 10, 2009 as

March 9, 2009 - During its Women’s History Month celebration "Women in the
Military," the Pennsylvania Commission for Women recently acknowledged the
outstanding achievements and contributions of servicewomen across the
Commonwealth. Above, Governor Ed Rendell and First Lady Midge Rendell present
Senator Baker with the 2009 Women’s History Month Award for her service to
Pennsylvania's veterans.

March 6, 2009 – Following the Susquehanna County Farm Bureau’s legislative
luncheon, elected officials and concerned citizens stop for a photo. The
luncheon was held at the Elk Lake High School.

March 2, 2009 – Andrew "AJ" Gaudenzi spent the day shadowing
Senator Baker in Harrisburg. Andrew is a student at Marywood University
studying history/political science/pre-law.

March 1, 2009 – Senator Baker joins students from throughout the 20th Senatorial
District, who are participating in the People to People Ambassador Program. The
group will be traveling on a goodwill mission to Europe this spring.
