September 30, 2008 During filming of the October Edition of The Baker Report
at Braces Apple Orchard in Dallas, Senator Baker took the opportunity to sample
a freshly picked apple while listening to Paul Brace describe the operations of
this family-owned and operated business. |

September 24, 2008 The Pink Ribbon Tour made a stop in Harrisburg where
Senator Baker met "The Guardians of the Ribbon," a group of police men,
firefighters, and community leaders who travel across the country to raise
awareness about breast cancer. A pink fire truck and pink uniforms for the
volunteers serve as trademarks for the tour and a reminder to everyone about the
importance of finding a cure.

September 18, 2008 - Members of the Safe Haven of Pike County's Rallying Youth
Organizers Together (RYOT) Against All Forms of Abuse recently visited
Harrisburg, where they were greeted by Senator Baker. Members of the group are
students from Delaware Valley High School and Wallenpaupack High School.

17, 2008 - Senator Baker greeted one of her constituents, Mr. Jack Harris in the
Senate Chamber. Mr. Harris is an avid sportsman and author from northeastern
Pennsylvania, who was visiting the state Capitol for the day. |

September 14, 2008 Senator Baker joined in the festivities at the 6th
Annual Dallas Harvest Festival. The annual fall celebration offered a wide
variety of activities from an apple pie baking contest to the "Harvest Festival

September 13, 2008 The Dorrance Township Volunteer Fire Department
commemorated its 50th year of operation with a recent celebration. Senator Baker
presented a citation recognizing the fifty years of service that the department

September 5, 2008 Senator Baker had the opportunity to check out the police
car purchased by Susquehanna Borough funded in part through a $20,000 state
grant. The patrol car is the borough's first new cruiser in 29 years. Pictured

September 5, 2008 Children attending the Susquehanna Community Elementary
School are a little bit safer now thanks to 800 feet of newly installed guide
rails along a nearby sidewalk. Senator Baker, along with Representative Sandra
Major worked to obtain the funding that made the project possible. Above, the
legislators look over the completed work with district superintendent, Bronson
Stone.

September 5, 2008- Senator Baker took part in the ribbon cutting ceremony for
the Oakland Heights Apartments in Susquehanna County. The affordable housing
project is one of several revitalization projects taking place in Oakland
Borough and was created by the Susquehanna Housing/Redevelopment Authority (SCHRA).

September 2, 2008 In honor of the 45th
anniversary of the Grey Towers site dedication, Senator Baker presented a
citation to Milford Mayor Merritt Quinn and Lori McKean, Assistant Director
for Programs and Communication of USDA Forest Service Grey Towers National
Historic Site. Grey Towers was once the home of Gifford Pinchot, a former
governor of Pennsylvania and founder of the USDA Forest Service.
