SB 500 –  Sen. Baker – Amends the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency Law by establishing the County Adult Probation and Parole Advisory Committee, authorizes deposits into the Justice Reinvestment Fund based on savings, authorizes distributions from the Justice Reinvestment Fund, and transfers the County Probation Officer’s Firearm Education and Training Commission to the County Adult Probation and Parole Advisory Committee.

SB 501 – Sen. Killion – Amends Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) and Title 61 (Prisons and Parole) to incorporate the county intermediate punishment program into county probation and to rename the State intermediate punishment program as the State drug treatment program. Streamlines the process for placement in the State Intermediate Punishment, allows parole agents to quickly detain parolees for violations, and streamlines the process for paroling people who receive a short sentence to prison, and otherwise revises sentencing laws.

SB 502 – Sen. Bartolotta – Amends the Act of November 24, 1998 (P.L882, No.111) known as the Crime Victims Act to provide information and compensation to crime victims.

SB 275 – Sen. J. WardUpdating Titles 18, 23 and 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes by fully integrating the offense of strangulation into these Titles.

HB 279 – Rep. Boback – Amends Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes by providing limited immunity for damages caused by entry into a motor vehicle for the purpose of removing an individual from the vehicle.
